The late Joan Kagezi was appointed head of Department from 2010 up to the time of her demise on 30th March, 2015. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions set up an International War Crimes in the wake of the terrorist attack on Uganda in 2010, which led to the death of about 75 people.
