Between 13-15 May 2025, the Wayamo Foundation organised a series of events in Pretoria, bringing together academics, prosecutors, investigators and judges for discussions on the domestic application of international criminal law in South Africa. 

Wayamo and the South African National Prosecuting Authority co-hosted a workshop, followed by a Judges Symposium hosted by Wayamo. Events focused on focused on the domestic application of international criminal law, the use and relevance of open-source information as evidence in domestic trials, the application of universal jurisdiction in South Africa as well as the role of the judiciary in upholding accountability for atrocity crimes.
