In order to examine and explore the contributions and ongoing challenges facing West Africa in the fight to achieve meaningful justice and accountability for atrocities in the region, the Wayamo Foundation, AGJA and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung will hold a symposium on 21 and 22 March 2019, under the banner of “West African International Justice – Leadership, Challenges, and Opportunities”.
In February and March of this year, the Wayamo Foundation concluded a series of five key events (two meetings and three activities) in so many days in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of its “Fighting Impunity in East Africa” project, an initiative funded by the German Foreign Ministry.
To promote a holistic and comprehensive approach to international criminal justice, the Africa Group for Justice and Accountability (AGJA) hosted a side event where the all the existing accountability initiatives and justice forums were explored.
From 31 October to 3 November 2017, the Africa Group for Justice and Accountability (AGJA) and the Wayamo Foundation sent a fact-finding delegation to The Gambia.
